This is an original 1945 color print of a press conference in the St. Francis Hotel's Colonial Room in San Francisco, California. The caption writes, "The forest of flash bulbs and movie cameras was so thick that it was presently suggested that the photographers sit on the floor. Mr. Molotov faced the reporters flanked by his lanky, bespectacled interpreter, Mr. Pavlov, who rendered Mr. Molotov into impeccable English." Vyacheslav Molotov was a Soviet diplomat and politician and served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from 1939 to 1949 and from 1953 to 1957.
